Restore your smile with Dental Implants – an aesthetically pleasing, long lasting solution for missing teeth. Implants are permanent, durable and look and function just like natural teeth.
With this treatment, a titanium screw is placed in the jaw bone and functions like a natural tooth root. We then place a bespoke porcelain tooth on top, crafted to match the appearance of your remaining teeth so it won’t look out of place.
As well as significantly improving the appearance of your smile, dental implants are easy to care for and let you eat, laugh and smile with confidence once more.
We also provide Smile in a Day, an impressive long-lasting tooth replacement treatment that provides you with a full set of teeth in just one appointment.
Prior to treatment, you’ll attend a consultation where a member of our team will talk through the treatment and assess your suitability. This is the perfect opportunity to ask any questions you may have and to get a better idea of the time scale of the treatment. We’ll take a scan of your mouth before sharing with you your treatment plan.
Your dentist will first fix the implant – this can be performed under local anaesthetic or sedation. Two weeks later, we remove the sutures after the wound has had time to heal.
6-8 weeks later, the dentist will expose the implant to improve the gum quality and aesthetics of the implant. The manufacture of the tooth can then begin once we have taken impressions/scans.
Two weeks later, we will invite you back to place the tooth on your implant. With that, the treatment is complete.
Your dentist will give you plenty of information on after care and how to ensure your implants are long lasting.
We’ll also invite you back six weeks later for a follow up appointment to see how you are getting on with your new implant(s) and to see if everything has healed correctly.
Dental implants can last for many years with good care and regular maintenance appointments. Much like real teeth, if you do not care for your implants, a coating similar to plaque will develop. If untreated, this can lead to infection and general discomfort.
Any number of teeth can be replaced with dental implants. We recommend a consultation with an expert in our team to discuss how you can best benefit from dental implants.
Our team will give you an indication of a time frame prior to treatment. Treatment time can depend on the type of implant you have. In some circumstances, false teeth can be placed the same day. However, teeth are usually fitted between 3-6 months after the implants are placed.
